Palazzo Massimo alle Terme is a palace in Rome, Italy, built in the 19th-century Neo-Renaissance architectural style. It is located in Piazza della Repubblica in the Pigna district, near Termini Station. Constructed between 1883 and 1886, it was commissioned by Monsignor Massimo, the last descendant of the Massimo family and a Jesuit priest, who built this office building on family-owned land, with the architect Camillo Pistrucci. In 1981, the building was purchased by the Italian state and restored by architect Dardi. It became part of the National Roman Museum in 1992.

As a branch of the National Roman Museum, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme is renowned for its numerous exquisite sculptural masterpieces. The building has four floors, each displaying sculptures, frescoes, mosaics, coins, and jewelry collections. These works primarily showcase the history, mythology, and daily life of ancient Romans during the late Roman Republic.

Among its highlights are the famous Greek sculpture "Boxer at Rest," which stands approximately 128 cm tall. Cast in bronze, the sculpture’s lifelike detail enhances its dramatic impact and reflects the artist’s empathy and compassion for the boxer. Other notable works include the renowned "Hermaphroditus," often considered the most beautiful “hermaphrodite” in the world—said to be inspired by Greek mythology. There is also the well-known "Prince of Greece," as well as many mosaic artworks and frescoes.
