Cusco City
Introduction
A famous ancient city in southern Peru, the capital of the ancient Inca Empire, and now the capital of Cusco Province. The city is filled with remnants of the ancient Inca civilization, such as exquisite stone walls and the ruins of the Temple of the Sun. Located in an Andean highland basin at an altitude of 3,410 meters, locals call it the “Pearl of the Andes Crown” and the “Cradle of Ancient Inca Culture.” Cusco City has been listed by UNESCO as a “World Cultural and Natural Heritage” site.
