Limassol Medieval Castle
Attraction Introduction Built in the early Byzantine period. In 1191, the wedding ceremony of Richard the Lionheart and the daughter of the King of Navarre was held here.
In 1570, the city was occupied by the Turks, and later became a British colony. Various eras have left their mark on the ancient city, resulting in a complex architectural style.
It now serves as a medieval museum, primarily exhibiting medieval artifacts.
