Attraction Introduction

Ananda Temple is the most exquisite structure in the entire Bagan region, covering an area of about 100 acres and shaped like a square. It is renowned worldwide for its balanced harmony. At the center of the courtyard stands the beautiful Ananda Pagoda. The base of the pagoda is an Indian-style large square Buddha cave, with a door on each of its four sides. Inside each door is a standing Buddha statue approximately ten meters high, majestic and slightly bowed, gazing down at all living beings below. Above the base rises the pagoda’s body, standing over 70 meters tall, appearing dignified and magnificent.
