Pella
Introduction Pella, along with Amman and Jerash, was a member of the Decapolis league during the Roman era. A favorite among archaeologists, Pella has been continuously inhabited since the 4th century BC and boasts a wealth of artifacts, including Chalcolithic tools, Bronze and Iron Age fortifications, temples from the Greco-Roman period, churches from the Byzantine era, early Islamic residences, and medieval mosques, among others.
