Malacañang Palace

Introduction Malacañang Palace is located on the banks of the Pasig River and is a purely Spanish-style palace. Originally the residence of a Spanish landowner, it became the official residence of the Spanish Governor-General in 1863, and later that of the American Governor-General. After the Philippines gained independence in 1845, it continued to serve as the presidential residence. The palace's gallery displays the history of the building, portraits of past presidents, and artworks from the palace.

Transportation Accessible through the Kalayaan Gate. Visitors arriving by taxi can enter via Arlegui Street or J.P. Laurel Street, park at the Mendiola Street parking area, and then walk along J.P. Laurel Street to reach the Kalayaan Gate.

Visiting Procedures: Visiting the Malacañang Palace Museum requires strict procedures, with applications needing to be submitted at least seven days in advance. The application should include your full name, nationality, passport details, passport details of accompanying persons, the date and time you wish to visit the museum, and your contact information. Entry to the museum is only permitted after receiving approval and confirmation from the relevant department. The museum entrance fee is 50 Philippine pesos. Photography is allowed inside the museum.
