Attraction Introduction The May Day Stadium is located on Moranbong Island, a scenic spot in Pyongyang. The stadium's roof resembles 16 petals, featuring a novel and unique architectural design. It was completed in May of Juche 78 (1989). The total construction area is 207,000 square meters, with a capacity of 150,000 spectators. The canopy over the stands is 60 meters wide, and the outer canopy is 40 meters wide. The field area is 22,500 square meters, and there are 80 entrances. The stadium has 8 floors and includes more than 1,300 rooms such as sports training rooms, a swimming pool, ultrasonic baths, steam rooms, resting beds, fatigue relief rooms, sports science research labs, and over 10 elevators.
