Attraction Introduction

Mansudae Art Theatre is located near Kim Il-sung Square. It was completed in October of Juche 65 (1976) and held its first performance on January 1, Juche 66 (1977). The total floor area is 60,000 square meters, and the building is 40 meters tall. The revolving stage has an area of 2,000 square meters. The theatre houses several rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, a small theatre, lounges, lighting rooms, a stereophonic recording studio, and a closed-circuit color TV control room, all equipped with advanced facilities. Revolutionary operas and musical dance performances are staged here and are very popular with audiences.
