Longmen Grand Cave

Attraction Introduction Longmen Grand Cave is a large stone cave located in the Longmen Workers' District of Kwangchon County, known as a coal-producing area, less than 28 kilometers from Hyangcheon-ri. There are two routes to get to Longmen Grand Cave: one is to drive more than 120 kilometers along the Pyongyang–Hyangsan Highway, turn right, cross the Kwangchon Bridge, and then go north for 12 kilometers; the other is to visit Mount Myohyang and stop to view the cave on your way back to Pyongyang. The Longmen Grand Cave stretches over 6 kilometers in total, featuring two main caves and over 30 branch caves. Inside the cave, stalactites and stone gates present a wide variety of shapes, earning it a reputation as an underground scenic wonder. With its vast scale and the oddly shaped limestone formations that offer diverse views from every angle, Longmen Grand Cave holds both viewing and academic value.
