Attraction Introduction

Located 12 kilometers east of Onjong-ri, you will find a lake called Samilpo. In ancient times, an emperor visited this scenic spot intending to stay for just one day before returning, but he was so captivated by the dreamlike lake and mountain views that he ended up lingering for three days. Hence, the lake was named Samilpo, meaning “Three-Day Lake.” Visitors can go boating on the crystal-clear waters of the lake and hike up the undulating stone peaks that encircle the lake. There is a restaurant by the lake called Danpunggwan, which offers services, allowing visitors to spend a pleasant day here.
