Endau-Rompin National Park is located at the border of Pahang and Johor states, covering an area of 48.9 square kilometers. It is renowned as one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest parks and one of the few remaining lowland tropical rainforests in Malaysia. With its serene environment and babbling streams, it is a great place to unwind and cultivate the spirit.

Between 1985 and 1986, experts and scholars conducted a comprehensive survey of the entire national park, rediscovering 25 previously unidentified tropical plant species. They also carried out further observations of the park’s rocks and vegetation. The forest here is estimated to be 248 million years old. Tigers, elephants, and Malayan tapirs are commonly spotted wildlife, and the park is also one of the main habitats of the Sumatran rhinoceros. It is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts, where visitors can experience the thrill of trekking through the jungle. Tourists can even visit indigenous settlements to learn about their customs and way of life.
