The Cameron Highlands is located in the northwest of Pahang State, Malaysia, at an elevation of about 1,524 meters and covering a total area of 712 square kilometers. Thanks to its pristine natural environment and cool climate, it has become a famous holiday destination in Malaysia and the largest highland resort in the country.

For centuries, the Cameron Highlands has been home to Malaysia’s indigenous people. It remained hidden away in the mountains until 1885, when a British surveyor named William Cameron explored the area. Since then, this mysterious and beautiful highland, previously concealed by the mountains, has been known to the world and was named after him. The Cameron Highlands is a place of poetic charm — perfectly captured by the line “Misty rain veils the distant river; sunlight dissolves into clouds halfway up the mountain.” For most of the year, a gentle drizzle falls over the highlands, and even on dry days, a misty veil hangs in the air, adding an enchanting touch to this land surrounded by green hills and clear waters.
