Kek Lok Tong

Kek Lok Tong is located in Ipoh, Perak, and was built by monks who came from China. After settling here, they constructed this cave temple. Perhaps because it is a religious sanctuary, a very strong spiritual atmosphere surrounds Kek Lok Tong.

At the cave entrance, there is a beautiful statue of Guanyin. Though small, it is exquisitely carved. Inside the cave, it is very cool, and you can feel a refreshing breeze blowing toward you. As you enter, the first thing that catches your eye is the spectacular stalagmites and stalactites formed over millions of years. They come in a variety of shapes and forms, incredibly lifelike, making you marvel at nature’s artistry. The cave houses many Buddhist statues, including those of Manjushri and Maitreya, and many people come to worship inside. In addition, there are also Taoist deities.

Kek Lok Tong also has a well-developed backyard featuring numerous lakes and ponds, along with plenty of fish and turtles. There are also several pavilions where visitors can rest and relax.
