Doi Inthanon National Park is located in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province, about 60 kilometers from Chiang Mai city. Known as the "Roof of Thailand," it is home to Thailand’s highest peak—Doi Inthanon. Established in 1972, the park spans 482 square kilometers and is a scenic wonderland rich in diverse flora and fauna.

Doi Inthanon National Park features lush forests, cascading waterfalls, mysterious caves, vibrant flowers, lively animals, and hardworking ethnic communities. Around 4,500 people reside within the park, playing a significant role in its conservation. Hiking here, you’ll be enveloped in light mist, feeling as if you’ve entered a fairyland. Once you reach the summit, the clouds part, offering breathtaking views that seem to stretch to the edge of the sky. The park’s many spectacular waterfalls and magical caves are major draws, with highlights including Mae Klang Waterfall and Brichinda Cave.

Doi Inthanon National Park is an excellent birdwatching destination. Its vast mountain ranges and cool climate provide a habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Currently, 362 bird species have been recorded, and the number continues to grow. Many of these birds migrate from northern Asia, contributing to the area’s remarkable avian diversity.
