Daegu Stadium is located in the area of 504, Daiseong-dong, Suseong-gu, in the well-known city of Daegu, South Korea. Construction began in May 2001, with a total investment of 265 million US dollars. It covers a total area of approximately 512,479 square meters and was an important venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup as well as the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics, making it world-renowned.

The design of Daegu Stadium follows the terrain of Daedeok Mountain to the south of Daegu, thereby enhancing the continuity of the natural landscape. Its roof is constructed with traditional Korean curves to resemble the shape of the Earth, seemingly embracing people from all over the world. Additionally, the top layer utilizes Teflon coating optimally, allowing natural light to reach 74% of the spectator seats, ensuring viewer comfort. Moreover, Daegu Stadium has installed state-of-the-art sound systems, broadcasting equipment, and high-definition large screens by controlling original computers, enabling every attendee to clearly view the events on the field.
