Daegu Front Mountain Park is located at Mt. 227-1, Dae-myeon 9-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea, at an altitude of approximately 660 meters, making it an ideal summer retreat. Established in 1970, the park spans about 5.08 million pyeong (approximately 16.7 million square meters), making it the largest urban nature park in Daegu. The park operates a 790-meter-long cable car leading to near the summit. At the mountain’s base, there are also sports and recreational facilities such as an archery range, horseback riding area, and swimming pool, making it a perfect destination for family outings and romantic dates.

Daegu Front Mountain Park boasts fresh air, a serene environment, lush forests, and a wide variety of recreational facilities, making it one of the most beloved natural leisure spots for the citizens of Daegu. The park is renowned for its numerous valleys, among which the representative ones include Daegok Valley, Gosan Valley, and Andilang Valley. Other valleys such as Yongryong Valley, Misa Valley, and Dapil Valley also feature gently flowing streams that add a lively charm to the park.

In addition to its picturesque valleys, Front Mountain Park has many walking trails ranging from 2 to 4 kilometers in length. These include trails connecting to Front Mountain, to Sansung Mountain, and to Dadeok Mountain. The abundance of walking paths is primarily designed to facilitate the leisure and recreation of Daegu citizens. Visitors can choose trails that suit their preferences and physical ability for exercise.
