Daegu Culture & Arts Center

The Daegu Culture & Arts Center is located at 187 Seongdang-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea, and opened in May 1990. It serves as the hub of culture and arts in Daegu, featuring large-scale performance halls, exhibition halls, and outdoor performance venues. In addition to hosting planned exhibitions and performances, it is also regularly used by six municipal art groups — including a symphony orchestra, choir, dance troupe, traditional Korean music ensemble, children’s and youth choir, and opera company — making it a cultural sanctuary for the citizens of Daegu.

The Daegu Culture & Arts Center covers a total area of approximately 66,100 square meters, with special attention drawn to the outdoor concert hall located within Ttukseom Park. Its vast lawn plaza can accommodate up to 27,000 spectators, making it the largest outdoor performance venue in South Korea. A variety of concerts, plays, musicals, and operas are frequently held here. After the show, visitors can shop for souvenirs at traditional craft shops or relax in the café while reliving the highlights of the performance.
