National Daegu Museum

National Daegu Museum is located at 41, San 1, Hwanggeum-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea. It is a multifunctional museum established to preserve and showcase the distinctive cultural heritage of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province. The building features an elegant and unique brick-and-stone design, with one basement level and two floors above ground, covering a total area of approximately 10,190 square meters, and receives over a thousand visitors daily.

The National Daegu Museum houses three exhibition halls—Ancient History, Fine Arts, and Folk Culture—as well as one special exhibition hall, one hands-on learning room, one audiovisual room, and one library. The Ancient History Hall displays historical relics from the Paleolithic Age to the Three Kingdoms Period. The Fine Arts Hall showcases Buddhist sculptures, various Buddha statues, and Buddhist crafts, making it an ideal place to learn about the Buddhist culture of North Gyeongsang Province. In addition, the museum offers hands-on activities where visitors can gain insights into traditional Korean herbs, plants, grains, and more.
