It is one of the most renowned opera houses in Daegu. Its exterior resembles a grand piano, with glass walls that allow ample natural light, making the building itself a remarkable piece of art. The Daegu Opera House has two underground levels and four above-ground levels, featuring a total of 1,490 horseshoe-shaped seats and a well-equipped stage. The performances held here are outstanding, yet the ticket prices are very affordable, providing local residents with an excellent opportunity to enjoy opera. In addition, since 2004, the opera house has offered opera classes where visitors can learn about opera appreciation methods and experience opera costume dressing, among other theoretical and practical aspects related to opera, helping audiences gain a deeper understanding of Korean opera.
