Bongsan Culture Street is located in the Bongsan-dong area of Jung District, Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea, and is a representative arts street in Daegu. The street gradually began adding galleries starting in 1991. Currently, from Daegu College in Bongsan-dong to the six-way intersection in Bongsan, there are nearly 20 large and small galleries lining the streets, with a particularly strong artistic ambiance.

Bongsan Culture Street developed as the citizens of Daegu increasingly pursued culture and the arts. Gradually, it was designated as Daegu’s gallery alley. Since then, the roadsides have been renovated to become tidy and orderly, and streetlights have been added. With the establishment of the Bongsan Cultural Center and the Youth Culture House here, the street has gained increasing popularity among locals and tourists alike, attracting a continuous stream of visitors. Throughout all four seasons, artworks are on display here, and the Bongsan Art Festival is held every October, drawing many art enthusiasts and creating a lively atmosphere.
