Yangshi House

Yangshi House is a cultural experience-style traditional Korean guesthouse located in Jeonju Hanok Village. Originally an annex building of the Jeonju Confucian School, it was once used as a study space for students during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910) who were preparing to take the civil service examinations to become seonbi (scholars) or jinsa (candidates for government positions).

As a result, staying at Yangshi House allows guests to naturally experience the charm of a traditional Korean hanok. In addition, the rooms are equipped with traditional Korean ondol floors heated by wood-burning stoves. The structure of Yangshi House is shaped like an ‘ㄷ’ and provides breakfast and wild tea during the stay. The restroom and bathroom facilities are shared.

Transportation Guide: From Jeonju Express Bus Terminal & Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal – when departing from the Jeonju Express Bus Terminal, get off in front of Korea National University of Arts; when departing from the Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal, take city buses No. 79-2, 88, 88-1, or 126 toward Namseong Market from Gimam Rotary and get off at Jeondong Catholic Church Station (takes 20–30 minutes), then walk for about 10 minutes. From Jeonju Station – take city buses No. 111 or 163 toward Riviera Hotel and get off at Jeondong Catholic Church Station (takes 20–30 minutes), then walk for about 10 minutes.
