Pan-Asia Paper Museum

Officially opened in 1997, the Pan-Asia Paper Museum houses over 1,800 historical artifacts and materials related to paper, and hosts special exhibitions on diverse themes every year.

The museum is divided into the 1st Exhibition Hall that reviews the history of paper, the 2nd Exhibition Hall that talks about the present and future of paper, along with the Hanji Reproduction Hall and the Planning Exhibition Hall.

Exhibited items include more than 700 paper crafts, over 230 ancient documents and writings, and more than 90 different types of paper. In addition, visitors can try their hand at making hanji at the experience corner, and purchase various souvenirs such as hanji crafts and postcards at the museum shop.

Transportation Guide: ■ There are no direct buses from Jeonju Station or Bus Terminal; taking a taxi is recommended. ■ When using a taxi, it takes about 10 minutes from Jeonju Station or Bus Terminal heading toward Bagok-dong. ※ The museum is located within the Pan-Asia Paper Mill (formerly Hansul Paper).
