Jeonju Hanok Living Experience Hall

The Jeonju Hanok Living Experience Hall is a residential house located within the Jeonju Hanok Village. This hanok-style living experience hall, consisting of an inner room (the couple’s private quarters), guest rooms, a hallway, and a courtyard, recreates the look and feel of an official’s residence from the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910) and now serves as a cultural experience-based accommodation facility. Although newly built structures lack some of the charm of traditional architecture, they offer more convenient facilities that compensate for the shortcomings of classic hanoks. Staying here allows foreigners to naturally immerse themselves in Korean traditional culture. In particular, sleeping on the traditional Korean ondol floor heated by burning wood offers a unique experience for foreign guests. The Jeonju Hanok Living Experience Hall also arranges various cultural programs such as learning folk songs and tea ceremonies, and provides bicycles for rent to guests for easier sightseeing. Breakfast is included in the accommodation fee.

Directions: Jeonju Express Bus Terminal & Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal: From the Jeonju Express Bus Terminal, get off in front of Korea National University of Arts; from the Jeonju Suburban Bus Terminal, take city buses No. 211, 221, 231, 251, 220, 229, 241, 291, 501, 502, 700, etc., heading toward Nambu Market from the Gimam Rotary, and get off at Jeondong Cathedral Station (takes 20–30 minutes), then walk for about 5–10 minutes. Jeonju Train Station: Take city buses No. 118, 119, 211, 221, 231, 241 heading toward Riviera Hotel, and get off at Jeondong Cathedral Station (takes 20–30 minutes), then walk for about 5–10 minutes.
