Tsugario of Mizusawa is a park built in 1933, located in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, in the northeastern region of Japan. The park is themed around recreating the luxurious architectural complex where the four generations of the Oshu Fujiwara family resided during the Heian period, authentically reproducing the golden culture of Hiraizumi (a town in southern Iwate Prefecture that served as the base of the Oshu Fujiwara clan during the late Heian period).

Covering an area of 20 hectares, Tsugario of Mizusawa features 123 various structures including government offices, the residence of the first-generation Kiyohira, and the Kaya Palace, along with streetscapes from that era, transporting visitors back to the Heian period. While visiting, guests can also dress in the elegant attire of Heian nobles or samurai armor for commemorative photos, experiencing the fashion of the time firsthand.

Tsugario of Mizusawa is a famous cultural attraction in Japan and has served as a filming location for many popular movies and TV dramas. The park also has a dedicated film location exhibit hall, showcasing props and related materials used in the films shot there.
