Guangling County Wetlands

Guangling County has over 30,000 acres of well-preserved, contiguous, and unpolluted wetlands with diverse vegetation types, providing a habitat for rich biodiversity.

The area is home to 278 species of terrestrial wild animals from 24 orders, 65 families, 130 species of birds from 15 orders, 43 families, and 33 species of mammals from 6 orders, 15 families. There are also more than 120 plant species from 89 genera and 34 families. Nationally protected animals such as the black stork, white-tailed sea eagle, great bustard, golden eagle, whooper swan, and owls inhabit the wetlands during migration. The county adopts centralized heating, ensuring fresh air all year round, with 283 days per year rated as having air quality of Grade II or better.
