Camp Foster American Village

American Village is a comprehensive cultural and commercial facility developed from the site of a former U.S. military base (Mihama, Chatan). It has been transformed into an urban-style resort and leisure area.

The most iconic feature of American Village is its large Ferris wheel with a diameter of 50 meters. The area also offers entertainment facilities featuring 3D imagery, an eight-screen cinema, a shopping mall, a bowling alley, American-style restaurants, recording studios, an entertainment center, import grocery stores, as well as a multi-sports complex. A 22-story hotel is also scheduled to open in 2004.
