Tonga National Museum
The Tonga National Museum is located in the capital of Tonga, Nuku'alofa. It functions not only as a museum but also as a cultural center, an art gallery, and a research library. The museum’s collections include artworks, photographs, cultural exhibits, archaeological artifacts, books, magazines, promotional brochures, and archival materials, covering a wide range, and it also features a permanent exhibition of Lapita pottery. Among these exhibits are many precious ceramics, some even from the Royal Collection of the Kingdom of Tonga. Passed down and preserved through generations, they are valuable artifacts for understanding Lapita culture and art. Additionally, the museum has an information desk staffed with professional guides, aiming to help visitors gain deeper insights into Tongan culture. Many schools in Tonga have organized student visits to this museum.
