Bridge of Remembrance

　 IntroductionThe Bridge of Remembrance spans the Avon River. With a poetic name and an elegant stone structure, this bridge earned its name during World War I, when soldiers marching from their barracks to the train station would pass over it. As they gazed at the gently flowing waters of the Avon River, lost in memories of home, the bridge was thus named.
