Eden Park is located in Auckland and opened in 1990. It is New Zealand’s largest stadium and a cherished heritage site for all New Zealanders. This iconic venue boasts a glorious history, and New Zealanders take great pride in everything it represents.

After a three-year series of renovations, Eden Park reopened in 2010. It hosts rugby matches in winter and cricket games in summer, with a seating capacity of 50,000 and up to 60,000 when temporary seats are added. Eden Park was the main stadium for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies as well as nine matches including the final. It was the first stadium to stage two Rugby World Cup finals in a single year in 2011, having also hosted the final in 1987.

Eden Park was also selected as a venue for the 2015 Cricket World Cup, adding another remarkable chapter to its storied history. Once again, thrilling sporting events will ignite the passion of sports fans.
