The New Zealand Treehouse Restaurant is also known as the “Sequoia Treehouse Restaurant” or the “Tree Lantern Restaurant.” It is located on a massive 40-meter-tall, 1.7-meter-diameter redwood tree in the Auckland forest. The entire restaurant features a yellow color scheme, and its appearance resembles either a chrysalis about to emerge from a tree or an onion hanging out to dry in a fairy-tale forest. At night, the thoughtfully designed lighting makes the restaurant look exquisitely translucent, almost like a Chinese lantern guiding the way for night travelers—absolutely stunning. Suspended 10 meters above the ground, the treehouse stands 12 meters tall with a diameter of 10 meters and includes a long suspended walkway. It was constructed in 66 days in 2009. Its grid-like structure ensures excellent ventilation and lighting, and the nighttime views are truly beautiful.
