Stone Staircase Street

Introduction

The Duddell Street Staircase is the largest stone staircase connecting Queen’s Road Central and Ice House Street. The gas lamps beneath the staircase were built between 1875 and 1889 and are the oldest of the only four surviving antique gas lamps in Hong Kong. Many Hong Kong films and TV dramas have been shot here, often giving visitors a sense of déjà vu. Transportation

You can take the MTR to Central Station, then exit at the Landmark Plaza exit to Ice House Street. From there, you’ll see Queen’s Road. Walk west along Queen’s Road, and Duddell Street will be the first small lane on your right.
