The Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum features two permanent exhibition halls displaying a rich collection of valuable historical artifacts. With a variety of audiovisual programs, the museum provides a comprehensive overview of Dr. Sun’s life and the important role Hong Kong played in the reform and revolutionary movements of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Adults: HK$10; Concessionary (full-time students, children, people with disabilities, and seniors): HK$5. Free admission every Wednesday, on Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Birthday (November 12), and on his Death Anniversary (March 12).

Dr. Sun Yat-sen (1866–1925), also known as Sun Wen, courtesy name Zaizhi, art names Risshin and Yixian, childhood name Dixiang, alias Zhongshan Qiao, commonly went by the name Zhongshan. He was born into a farming family in Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan County (now Zhongshan City), Guangdong Province. Influenced by the tradition of resistance among the people of Guangdong during his youth, he admired the revolutionary cause of the Taiping Rebellion.
