Hong Kong City Hall

Hong Kong City Hall is located in the Central District of Hong Kong Island and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong. Covering an area of 11,100 square metres, it consists of two separate buildings (the Low Block and the High Block) as well as a Memorial Garden. The Low Block houses exhibition halls, a theatre, a concert hall, a gift shop, a Chinese restaurant, and other dining facilities, while the High Block contains a recital hall, an exhibition gallery, meeting rooms, a library (which served as the headquarters of libraries on Hong Kong Island before the completion of the Hong Kong Central Library), and a marriage registry. The Memorial Garden, located to the northwest of the building complex, commemorates soldiers who died during the Battle of Hong Kong in World War II.
