The Peak Tower is a distinctive building in Hong Kong, located in the Mid-Levels area on the slope of Victoria Peak, nestled between Tai Ping Shan and Mount Gough in the Valley of the Peak. It also serves as the terminus of the Peak Tram, and its address is 128 Peak Road. Although it sits at an elevation of 396 meters above sea level rather than the very highest point of the peak, its design is striking yet does not obstruct the mountain skyline. The highest point of The Peak Tower reaches an altitude of 428 meters, offering panoramic views of the Victoria Harbour waterfront, making it one of Hong Kong’s major tourist attractions. In the 2003 series of Hong Kong currency notes, both the 20 HKD banknotes issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and Bank of China (Hong Kong) feature an image of The Peak Tower on their reverse sides.

The Peak Tower was designed by British architect Terry Farrell. It has seven floors with a total floor area of 10,400 square meters (112,000 square feet), and its design concept blends the imagery of a bowl and a saluting gesture to create a uniquely shaped architectural structure. It was completed in August 1996 and opened to the public in May 1997, replacing the former "Old Peak Tower" which was built in 1972 and demolished in 1993. In March 2005, The Peak Tower underwent a major renovation by Hong Kong architect Rocco Yim, with an investment of over 100 million HKD. The renovation included adding more shops, enclosing the original observation deck on the fifth floor to transform it into a concept dining restaurant, relocating the observation deck, adding a new entrance at The Peak Galleria, and installing a large multimedia screen.

The Peak Tower combines entertainment facilities, shops, and restaurants. After a major renovation in 2006, the focus of The Peak Tower shifted primarily to specialty souvenir and craft shops, as well as themed restaurants, significantly reducing the number of entertainment attractions.
