Lianglang Mountain Ecotourism Area

Lianglang Mountain Ecotourism Area is located 30 kilometers southwest of Huairen County, in the Hongtao Mountain range. The area enjoys convenient transportation, boasts beautiful mountain and water scenery, and has abundant resources of ceramic raw materials and coal. The terrain here is rugged and strategically important—it lies among the Inner and Outer Great Walls, serving as a key mountain pass. To the west, it leads to Shahu Kou in Zuoyun and Youyu, to the north it connects with Inner Mongolia, and to the south it leads to areas such as Shanyin and Pinglu, making it a historically contested military site. Today, the area features multiple attractions including Diaowo Temple,灯火菩萨庙 (Lamp-Bearing Bodhisattva Temple), Chaoyang Pavilion where the remains of Yang Jiye were once displayed, Hongyang Cave which houses Yang Jiye’s bone relics, Jigu Temple where the Khitan army once stored the bones of fallen soldiers, and a single-plank bridge, among others. These sites are built against the mountains, featuring upturned eaves, carved beams, and painted rafters, presenting a spectacular sight. Over 600,000 yuan has been invested in the development.
