Birch Park

Birch Park is located at 90°21′10″ east longitude and 46°40′52″ north latitude, 1.5 kilometers west of Qinghe County, on the riverbank east of the Daqinggeli River, at an elevation of 1,230 meters. The third-grade asphalt roads leading in and out of the county all pass by the park entrance, making transportation very convenient. In 2005, Birch Park was rated as an A-level scenic spot by the Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau.

Birch Park is approximately 610 meters long and 305 meters wide, covering an area of about 1,860 square meters, roughly in the shape of a parallelogram. The vegetation in the park is dominated by tall, slender birch trees, mixed with willows, poplars, and other shrubs such as wild roses and yellow thorns. The birch tree, scientifically known as Betula pendula or Betula utilis, thrives in moist environments, is extremely cold-resistant, and typically has a lifespan of 150 to 250 years, with some individual trees living over 300 years. Most birch trees in the park stand between 10 and 25 meters tall, with trunk diameters ranging from 10 to 30 centimeters, reaching up to around 30 centimeters. The canopy density is above 0.4, and the trees are tall and graceful, offering high ornamental value.

Birch Park was established in 1994 and has since received an investment of over 400,000 yuan. The park features uniquely designed Kazakh yurts, single-story concrete hexagonal pavilions, double-story wooden hexagonal pavilions, stone tables, stone benches, swings, seesaws, slides, and other recreational facilities. It also includes a 400-square-meter trapezoidal flowing water pool, with winding paths adding to the serene atmosphere. The entire park integrates leisure, entertainment, and vacation.
