The fortress has a square layout, with a beacon tower built at the southeast corner. Due to severe salinization and alkali corrosion, the construction methods of the fortress are unclear. Its east and west walls are 65 meters long, the south wall is 62 meters long, the north wall is 69 meters long, and the area is approximately 4,257.5 square meters. The base of the walls is 5 meters wide, and the top is 2.5 meters wide. There is a 7-meter-wide gap in the middle section of the north wall, and diagonal protruding parapet walls are found at the northeast, northwest, and southwest corners. The beacon tower was constructed using a method of alternating adobe bricks with rammed earth layers, has a square layout, measures 24 meters north-south and 14 meters east-west, and stands approximately 10 meters high in its remaining parts. It has a trapezoidal cross-section. A number of pottery fragments have been collected from inside the fortress.
