The Site of Tiejike Buddhist Temple, [a county-level cultural relic protection unit of the Tang to Uyghur Kucha period in Toshkanbulak, Dayoudusibage Township]

The ruins of the temple are square in layout, approximately 45 meters long from north to south and 40 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 1,800 square meters. The remaining temple walls are about 3.5 meters high, with a base width of 2 meters. Two house foundations remain within the temple, built from adobe bricks: one measures 10.2 x 4.5 meters with a remaining height of 3 meters, and the other is 12 x 4.6 meters, also 3 meters high, with a doorway 1.2 meters high and 0.8 meters wide.

Several caves have been carved into the mountainside to the north of the site, one of which preserves murals from the Uyghur period. Huang Wenbi conducted excavations here in 1928, unearthing artifacts such as a clay mold of a Buddha’s hand and decorative floor tiles. In recent years, a large number of pottery fragments have been collected.
