Millennium-old Tree The millennium-old tree is located 3 kilometers east of the Dagan Checkpoint in Sepabai Township, east of the county town. This tree is a populus davidiana, growing on a high mountain cliff. It is lush with foliage and has a crown that spreads like clouds. Standing beneath the tree, you can hear the sound of tinkling springs, yet the spring itself is not visible. The spring actually flows out 50 meters away from the tree. Locals call it “holy water,” claiming that drinking this “holy water” can ward off disasters and cure illnesses. As a result, visitors flock here to seek the “holy water” and for sightseeing. Legend has it that near the clear spring under the tree lies the tomb of Muzbopolqiake, a heroic warrior of the Kyrgyz hero Manas.
