The Hotan Atlas Silk Handicraft Workshop is located in Jiaya Township, Hotan City, approximately 10 kilometers from downtown Hotan. In December 2007, it was recognized as a National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site and awarded the title of a National A-level Scenic Spot. It is hailed as "the last handicraft industry of the 21st century."

The Hotan Atlas Silk Handicraft Workshop was officially established in 1992. It has continuously innovated and developed the traditional Atlas silk industry by adding new patterns and varieties, and registered the “Jiya Liren” trademark. This attraction mainly showcases the traditional craftsmanship involved in weaving Hotan Atlas silk. Visitors can witness the entire traditional manual process of silk reeling, spinning, dyeing, and weaving of Atlas silk, thereby gaining a fresh understanding of the ancient culture behind Hotan Atlas silk. Today, the Atlas silk workshop has become one of the must-visit sites for travelers coming to Hotan.

The factory includes five exhibition areas: silk reeling, dyeing, preparation workshops, weaving workshops, and a sales hall. Among them, the silk reeling, dyeing, preparation, and weaving workshops demonstrate the traditional craftsmanship of making Hotan Atlas silk. The sales hall displays a variety of finished Atlas silk products, including fabrics, scarves, ties, hats, and more. Visitors can purchase or custom-order their favorite Atlas silk items here.

The annual number of visitors and revenue generated by this site have been increasing year by year. In 2006, it received a total of 18,200 domestic and international tourists, including 15,600 foreign guests, with operating income reaching 1.3 million yuan, a profit of 38,000 yuan, and taxes paid amounting to 17,800 yuan. In 2007, the site welcomed 35,600 domestic and international tourists, including 23,000 foreign guests, generating an operating income of 1.6 million yuan, a profit of 62,000 yuan, and taxes of 28,200 yuan, contributing to the growth of Hotan's rural economy.
