Xinjiang Lari Kun National Wetland Park

Xinjiang Lari Kun National Wetland Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national wetland park.

The Lari Kun Wetland Park in the lower reaches of the Karakash River is located 20 kilometers northwest of Moyu County. The park area includes the Lari Kun Wetland as well as the Dongfeng Reservoir, Xinjian Reservoir, and water conveyance channels that supply water to the wetland. The park boasts abundant landscape resources, combining reservoir wetlands, reed marshes, and desert landscapes, with a wide variety of wild animals and plants. The planned total area is 24,438 hectares, with an 8-year construction period from 2011 to 2018. It is divided into five functional zones: the Wetland Conservation Zone, Wetland Restoration and Reconstruction Zone, Education and Exhibition Zone, Rational Use Zone, and Management and Service Zone.
