Hosblurak, meaning "Mandarin Duck Spring" in Kazakh, is located on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains, within Erdaoshui Village, Asha Township, Changji. It lies about 85 kilometers from Urumqi. The area features snow-capped mountains and glaciers, alpine meadows, dense forests, rare flowers and plants, as well as a wide variety of wildlife. It combines the elements of wonder, danger, beauty, and elegance. The scenic area consists of three natural alpine meadow platforms at different elevations, covered with lush grasses and vibrant wildflowers that paint a picturesque landscape. The Mandarin Duck Springs are clear, pure, and gently flowing, with a sweet and refreshing taste. The surrounding mountains display a myriad of shapes, with peaks standing side by side.

Along the way, you’ll encounter natural wonders such as the Heart of Asia, the sulfur valley’s yardang landforms, peculiar hanging rocks, the Camel Lying Down Peak, the Flaming Mountain, the Turtle Immortal Cliff, and the primeval Populus euphratica forest. These formations are strikingly vivid, embodying a blend of wonder, danger, beauty, and elegance that will leave you in awe. At night, strolling on the meadow platforms offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the illuminated cities of Urumqi and Changji, making it an enchanting experience that draws you into the embrace of nature, leaving you reluctant to leave.
