Bronze Ancient Town

The ancient town is situated at the entrance of the Yellow River Bronze Gorge Grand Canyon Tourist Area, covering an area of 600 acres. It is being built in two phases and was fully completed by 2015, with an estimated total investment of 120 million yuan. The first phase has been completed, including the construction of 21,000 square meters of antique-style commercial premises. It is divided into three design clusters—the River Source Cluster, the Canal City Cluster, and the Water City Cluster—mainly used for the exhibition and sale of tourist souvenirs, leisure and entertainment, ethnic specialty dining, and business hotels. In addition, there will be a water conservancy engineering museum that documents the history of water development.

This project is planned and constructed based on the high-quality intangible cultural heritage of the ancient canals from the Qin and Han dynasties in Qingtongxia City, leveraging the superior ecological environment resources of the Yellow River water system, and making full use of its geographical advantage as the entrance to the Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon Tourist Area. Once completed, Bronze Ancient Town will adopt the brand "Bronze Ancient Town, Water City Beyond the Great Wall," focusing on functions such as experiencing Yellow River culture, sightseeing the ancient canal town, and offering distinctive leisure hospitality. It will make full use of the geographical advantages of the Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon Tourist Area, and draw upon the long history of Yellow River hydraulic engineering development and the profound agricultural culture, striving to become a unique cultural and eco-tourism town along the Yellow River and its surrounding regions.
