Tiandu Mountain
Introduction: Tiandu Mountain in Haiyuan County, also known as West Mountain, is located to the west of the ancient site of Xi’an Prefecture. It stands opposite Nanhua Mountain from east to west, offering distant views of the Yellow River in Jingyuan, Gansu, and spectacular sunrises in the morning. Blessed with a superior natural environment, it is a natural summer retreat. The mountain is also home to many temples, shrines, and Buddha statues. Research indicates that the “Ancestral Master” cave on Tiandu Mountain was a sacred summer retreat for Li Yuanhao, the ruler of the Western Xia Dynasty. This mountain is a treasured site shared by both Buddhism and Taoism, holding high scientific research value for the study of the history of these two religions.
