Quje Nunnery

Quje Nunnery is a cultural heritage site protected by Zaduo County.

Quje Nunnery is located in Angsai Township, Zaduo County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On July 13, 2018, Quje Nunnery was included in the third batch of Zaduo County-level Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Angsai Township: Angsai Township is located in the southeastern part of the county, 32 kilometers from the county seat. It has a population of 3,000, predominantly Tibetan, accounting for over 99% of the total population. The area covers 1,924 square kilometers and administers three pastoral committees: Niandu, Reqing, and Sulu. It was established as Angsai Township in 1963, restructured as Angsai Commune in 1971, and restored as Angsai Township in 1984.
