Gangcha Grassland is located in Gangcha Tibetan Pastoral Township in the southwestern part of the county, with Provincial Highway Xun-Tong running through it. It is the only purely pastoral township in the agricultural area of eastern Qinghai, with an average elevation of about 3,280 meters and a total area of 467.81 square kilometers, accounting for 22.28% of the county's total area. Here, you can enjoy the scenery of a vast pastoral grassland without having to cross the Riyue Mountain. The area features rolling mountains, boundless plains, lush grasslands, fragrant flowers, birdsong, and herds of cattle and sheep grazing leisurely. The best time to visit is from June to August, allowing you to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the tranquil, expansive, and picturesque beauty of nature.
