The site of the former Imperial Post Office is a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in Beijing.

The site of the former Imperial Post Office is located at No. 7 Xiaobaofang Hutong, Chongwennei Street, Dongcheng District, and is listed as part of the eighth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Beijing.

The Imperial Post Office was established in the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign (1897) and was originally located within the office of the Inspectorate General of Customs. In the 31st year of the Guangxu reign (1905), it was moved to this location, and then relocated to East Chang’an Avenue in the 33rd year of the Guangxu reign (1907). In the 3rd year of the Xuantong reign (1911), the Qing Dynasty's Ministry of Posts and Communications took over postal affairs and established the Imperial Post Office. The original site faces west and consists of five single-story rooms. It has undergone renovations since then and was restored in 1996. The building provides physical evidence for the study of the development of modern postal services and holds significant historical value.
