"Gejia Forest Park" is located in the western part of Gejiu City, 4 kilometers from the city center. It borders the urban area of Gejiu to the east, Jisha Township to the west, Xinzhai Village Committee to the south, and Jijie Town to the north. Situated on the Tropic of Cancer, Gejia Forest Park enjoys abundant sunshine and a mild climate, with an average temperature of 15°C–16°C. Thanks to its superior location, convenient transportation, vast land space, and excellent forest tourism environment, the park boasts fresh air. The Gejia area is rich in diverse biological resources, featuring large expanses of golden bamboo forests. Surrounding the park are lush golden bamboo groves, the Longke Qinglong Mountain — the highest peak in Xicheng Town — and the Baiyun Mountain Forest Farm, all covered with dense woodlands. The mountains are blanketed with vibrant azalea blossoms and orchards stretching as far as the eye can see. There are also two large reservoirs, making the scenery picturesque and the environment delightful.

In recent years, with the growing number of visitors to Gejia Forest Park, to meet the needs of group meetings and activities organized by external tourist groups, the park has built a conference activity hall that can accommodate over 100 people. It also provides recreational facilities such as sports courts, basketball hoops, and fitness equipment.

Since the reform and opening up, Gejia Village Committee, driven by a pioneering spirit and leveraging its favorable location and abundant resources, has achieved remarkable success in economic development and various social programs. The industrial structure has been further optimized. Pollution-free green agricultural products unique to the village, such as waxy corn and virus-free potatoes, have begun to show promising results. The cultivation of bio-medicinal herbs like goldenrod has reached a considerable scale. High-quality fruits such as Lusha pears, yellow-skinned pears, cherries, and honey peaches are popular throughout the prefecture. Locally raised free-range chickens and meat sheep are flavorful and tender, with broad market potential.
