Moonlit Pool is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Moonlit Pool Leisure Culture Center is situated in Dayingjie, known as the “No. 1 Village in Yunnan.” Dayingjie lies in the lower reaches of the Yuxi River, where several local streams—including Jiulongchi River, Xi River, and Zhou River—converge into the Yuxi River just ahead to the left of the village. The number “nine” represents the ultimate, and “ultimate” is a homophone for “auspicious.” According to folklore, Dayingjie is a “land of great fortune where all nines converge.” The Moonlit Pool Leisure Culture Center is a subsidiary of Yunnan Yuxi Flotation Paper Factory—the largest flotation paper manufacturer in Asia. The center consists of Moonlit Pool Hot Springs, Moonlit Pool Aquatic Center, Gratitude Tourism Street, Moonlit Hot Spring Inn, Sakyamuni Culture Meditation Garden, and Yuquan Temple. It integrates Buddhist culture, gratitude culture, hot spring culture, traditional ethnic culture, regional culture, and ecological culture, forming the unique “Way of Leisure” at Moonlit Pool. This creates an ideal atmosphere for spiritual wellness, set in this geomantically auspicious site where two rivers meet. Wishing you good fortune and luck here.

In modern Chinese, “休” (xiū) can be interpreted as “rest” or “stop,” while “修” (xiū) carries multiple meanings such as “to perfect or restore perfection,” “to build,” or “to cultivate.” This kind of cultivation elevates one’s spirit and mind, rather than being merely physical rest and relaxation. By using the character “修,” our center embodies that profound meaning. That is, our unique “Way of Leisure” allows people to experience the vicissitudes of life and gain insights while relaxing both body and mind, thereby achieving spiritual elevation. As the saying goes: “Leisure becomes true nature when cultivated; cultivation leads to ease when in leisure.” Whether it is “rest” or “cultivation,” what the Moonlit Pool Leisure Culture Center represents is not just the difference between two Chinese characters, but encompasses the entire corporate culture and development of our center.

The Way of Purification

Moonlit Pool Hot Springs are rich in minerals such as fluorine, radium, strontium, and calcium. They are classified as metasilicic acid mineral springs, meeting or exceeding the national standards for medical mineral water. These precious composite medical mineral springs offer various benefits, including promoting metabolism, boosting immunity, reducing swelling and detoxifying, moisturizing skin, and relieving ailments. The hot springs feature over twenty types of SPA treatments, such as pearl baths, oxygen baths, Dead Sea floating baths, and Imperial Concubine Flower Baths. A range of service facilities are also available, including massage, dining, rooms with private soaking tubs, villas, and conference rooms.

The Way of Scenic Leisure

The Moonlit Pool Aquatic Center offers indoor hot spring swimming pools and outdoor mineral water swimming pools, a loach pond, dry and wet saunas, fitness equipment, table tennis, badminton, basketball, and a chess and card room.

Gratitude Tourism Street offers Yuxi ethnic handicrafts, local specialties, famous Yuxi snacks, and gratitude-themed accessories (Moonlit Pool souvenirs).

Moonlit Hot Spring Inn has a total of 80 guest rooms, all with direct hot spring water access. Each room is equipped with a computer and broadband internet, furnished with a homely ambiance, and stocked with comprehensive daily necessities. The thoughtful service makes it especially suitable for various mid-to-high-end business activities.

Moonlit Changlong specializes in golden trout and rainbow trout, featuring Yunnan-style flavors and showcasing the essence of authentic hometown dishes. Guests can enjoy both hot pot and à la carte options.

Moonlit Palace KTV consists of a multi-functional performance hall and KTV rooms in various ethnic styles, with a total of five private rooms accommodating 4 to 20 people depending on size. Here, you can sing your heart out while experiencing the unique regional and traditional ethnic cultures of Moonlit Pool. During the day, enjoy tea, meditation, and hot springs to reflect on life; at night, dance and sing to unwind.

Conference rooms can accommodate between 30 to 350 people, all equipped with complete audio facilities.

The Way of Wisdom

Sakyamuni Culture Meditation Garden is positioned around Buddhist culture, with gratitude culture as its main theme. It includes the Compassion Lecture Hall, Health Vegetarian Hall, Nourish Life Tea Room, and Meditation Corridor, creating a tranquil space for “spiritual purification” and “mental release.”

Juesheng Retreat is situated by a beautiful lakeside, built with eco-friendly materials and traditional Chinese architectural style that blends harmoniously with the surrounding greenery, forming a picturesque scene. It offers 20 dormitory rooms, including 20-person, 6-person, and 4-person rooms, allowing you to relive or experience communal living.

Moonlit Pool Outdoor Expansion Culture Center helps participants temper their willpower, refine their sentiments, improve themselves, strengthen team spirit, and unlock their potential through experiential training.

In partnership with the International Yoga Association, the Moonlit Pool Leisure Culture Center has established the Southern Branch of the International Yoga Academy Training Base. The center offers ideal natural conditions for yoga practitioners—including hot springs, lakeside corridors, outdoor meadows, and yoga tea ceremony training venues. After completing the courses, students undergo a unified assessment by the International Yoga Association. Those who pass receive internationally recognized yoga instructor certificates (beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels) and advanced yoga coach certifications—the only ones in China accredited globally. Certified coaches are qualified to teach worldwide, with recognition in over 60 countries and regions.

The Way of Enlightenment

Yuquan Temple stands majestic and grand, comprising seven halls: the Mahavira Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Founders’ Hall, Medicine Buddha Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Hall of Five Hundred Arhats, and the God of Wealth Hall. The Mahavira Hall houses a 26.8-meter-tall sandalwood-carved statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, the tallest indoor seated Buddha in Southeast Asia.
