Guineng Mountain Village features the most distinctive earthen-plank houses of the Hani people (Haoni sub-group), characterized by their rustic and dignified earth-and-wood structures. The houses are interconnected and built in terraced layers. In the distance, lush green mountains and clear waters surround the village, while nearby it is encircled by terraced fields. The area is renowned for producing high-quality purple rice. The scent of purple rice wafts through the air, smoke curls from kitchen chimneys, and a harmonious, joyful atmosphere pervades the village.
